Staff and Faculty Welcome from the Director  It is my pleasure to welcome you to the English Language Academy at the University of San Diego. As an alumna of the University of San Diego, I can recommend with confidence the educational and social opportunities provided by the university community. Director Welcome from the Academic Coordinator  Welcome to the University of San Diego’s English Language Academy where you will experience a world of difference. ELA offers university bound students an opportunity to prepare for a degree program. You will experience small classes in a modern new facility with personal attention from your instructors, while you have access to the many activities and resources of the University of San Diego. Each instructor has a Masters Degree and/or a degree in teaching English as second language, or a related field, and has extensive experience teaching English to International students.
